Code of Conduct

1.   Introduction

On the web pages of https://lawyerhill.com (“Platform”) you are required to abide by the rules of this Code of Conduct.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in consequences such as account restrictions, suspension or removal, limited distribution or removal of content.
If you find on the Platform anything that violates these rules, please send an email with such information to team@lawyerhill.com.

2.   Definitions

In these rules:

• “Content” means any text, symbol, image, sound, video or combination thereof, for example, publication, question, answer, comment, document, profile or review.
• “Interaction” means using any feature of the Platform that allows one user to interact with another user.
  

3.   False Reviews

We do not allow user reviews of a lawyer or law firm:

• If a user has not received any service (representation, advice, document, etc.) from the reviewed lawyer or law firm.
• If a review is knowingly inaccurate or false.
• If a review is made with respect to an own profile.

Reviews are subject to verification and moderation. They may be blocked or removed at any time if we reasonably believe that they violate these rules.
It may take up to 24 hours for a verified review to be displayed.

4.   Violence Threats and Incitement

We do not allow content and interactions that threaten, encourage, or incite violence against anyone, directly or indirectly.

5.   Hate Speech

We do not allow content and interactions that:

• Promote violence or hatred against people based on their characteristics, such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, age, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, marriage, civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity (“protected characteristics”).
• Call for intolerance, exclusion, or segregation based on the protected characteristics.
• Glorify, celebrate, downplay, or trivialize violence, suffering, abuse, or deaths of individuals or groups.
• Promote violence against animals.
• Glorify groups which do any of the above.

6.   Harassment

We do not allow content and interactions with harassment, which includes, but is not limited to, bullying, threatening, shaming or harassing someone, or posting information likely to encourage others to do so.

7.   Privacy

We do not allow:

• Posting any copies of private communication between individuals without the explicit consent of all parties to the communication.
• Doxing, which includes not only search and publication of private or personal information but also the aggregation of publicly available information to target, shame, blackmail, harass, intimidate, threaten, or endanger someone.
• Content that violates the privacy of others, including sensitive or confidential information, such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, or other non-public information.

8.   Spam

We do not allow spam.
We consider the following, without limitation, as spam:

• Posting content primarily to drive traffic to, or increase the search rankings of, an external site, product, or service.
• Scraping and re-posting content from other sources for the primary purpose of generating revenue or other personal gains.
• Posting duplicate content, whether from a single account or across multiple accounts.
• Performing a disproportionately large number of interactions, particularly by automated means.
• Repeatedly using publications, comments, answers or other interactions solely as a method of promotion or selling.
• Use or re-use of content templates with slight modifications across multiple posts and accounts.

9.   Non-genuine Interactions

We do not allow artificial behaviors that degrade or distort experiences of other users. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Using services, apps, or arrangements that offer you more reviews, votes, or such other interactions.
• Registering accounts, posting content, interacting with users and content automatically or programmatically.

10.   Copyright and Trademark

We do not allow publishing someone else’s copyrighted work or trademark if you are not authorized (either expressly or by legal exceptions and limitations like fair use) to do so.

11.   Graphic Content

We do not allow pornographic images or videos, erotic writing and non-graphic erotic images.

12.   Exploitation of Minors

We do not allow content and interactions with anything promoting the sexual or violent exploitation of children.

13.   Promotion of Self-harm

We do not allow content and interactions that encourage, promote or glorify acts of self-harm, such as cutting, eating disorders and suicide.
